A lot of printers don't appear with an initial install of Windows 7. If you hit the "windows update" button on the printer driver selection window it updates the list with a lot of those that are initially missing. Though I have to add the Laserjet 4L is still missing after this procees, but it's early days yet.

Can you provide any info on how to extract and explore a driver? After a Microsoft update my HP Laserjet 1220 Series PCL5 is now able to print two-sided in Windows 7 X64. I am also running Windows XP Pro X64 and cannot find the correct driver. It only provides one sided printing and little functionality.

Tried to install a hp laserjet 5p, they aren't included on windows 7 and there doesn't seem to be an online resource. So I go to the hp website and they have no windows 7 driver versions, no problem I'll just use the vista version. No download of the vista driver as they are included on the vista disk...

THANK YOU!!!! this is exactly what i needed for my 5500 and i havnt been able to find these drivers anywhere. I hate visa, and windows, and anything that even includes those names in it. there is not a day in my life, in the past 10 years at least, that i have not gotten an error message. But at least my printer works :) I hope things will go a little easier in the future for me.

The HP2500 is a colour laser printer which replaced the ageing HP4500 machine and was aimed to put HP back into the colour printing market. The user has to purchase 4 colour cartridges + 1 OPC Kit to operate this printer.

I cannot scan using a Laserjet 3052 over a network. The HP site suggests it would work over USB but what's the point of a network printer/scanner if you need to plug it locally?
