Boot Usb Window Xp

Hi there,
With the advent of the "netbooks", small, light, long battery life, they are are useful tool when you are travelling or backpacking far from home.
However you would want to do some disaster contingency planning, if you were that far from home.
So you would make an image backup of the operating system partition at least, using Acronis True Image, O&O DiskImage, ShadowProtect or similar, as has been discussed recently in another thread.
Such images can be stored on USB pen drives or SD cards, small, compact and light, like the netbooks themselves.
However, the software to restore the image backups, particularly if you are doing a scorched earth, bare-metal rescue, would normally be on a CD or DVD, which would require a CD/DVD reader.
Which sort of defeats the purpose of having a netbook, having to lug around a CD/DVD burner as well.
Ideally, the disk image backup/restore ISO's should be on a USB pen drive or SD card.
The creator's of Hiren's boot disk, have essayed this method of converting an ISO:
good evening
for some reason I want to put on my usb stick 3 or more XP setup in different versions: lite lited - xlite extra lited - full driverpacked and so on...
I 'd like to use the $WIN_NT$.~BT \ $WIN_NT$.~LS way instead of ISO's way (mapped by grub4dos) because in some case the images should be too big for low ram equipped PC's.
so I need a help about hexediting, if possible, the setup files (setupldr.bin - setupdd.sys etc.) and renaming txtsetup.sif adn eventually WINNT.SIF
In any case I will use grub4dos as bootloder.
any suggests?
thanks in advance.
