The following features are considered in both Windows 7 and Mac OS X Leopard.

Mac Finder vs. Windows Explorer

The features offered in Finder and Windows Explorer is similar and only some exclusion is made like Sidebar and Places of Finder and Windows 7 Libraries.  Neither Explorer nor Finder provides tabbed interface and Quicksilver-y file handling built into ones OS.

Leopards Quick Look vs. Windows File Preview

Quick look is one of the features of Leopard Finder which is very helpful for most general document types. Choose a file, search into the contents of a file, see whether it is a PDF, Word document or image whereas in Windows 7 Explorer one can use the Alt+P keys to preview the contents of a file in an embedded pane within the Explorer interface which is very minute. Quick look does a great job.

Windows Taskbar vs. Mac Dock

The Windows 7 taskbar is the best improved interface to the system. One can insert programs to the taskbar. The Aero Peek rollover previews and jump lists works for manifold windows and tabs. The Show Desktop key drags the taskbar in advance of Macs Dock.

Windows System Tray vs. Mac Menu Bar

The Mac menu bar is set at the top of Mac screen and there is no simple way to conceal it, and programs pin their icons. The default date and time shown is not helpful. Windows 7 is best when compared to Mac as one can customize the icons.

Leopard Time Machine vs. Windows Backup

In Windows 7, the built in back up utility is a simple old wizard where one needs to select backup drive, then files where one would like to back up and fix the schedule. It is hidden in someplace in the Control Panel and it is unexciting to use. While the Leopard Time Machine is very easy to set and it is too animated but in fact it has amusing reinstate interface.

Windows 7 Aero Peek vs. Expose

Windows 7Aero Peek does thumbnail preview, window clearing and docking in a smooth and useful way. This feature is not available at present in Mac OS X.
