Hi I was having problems with my computer and the RAM was faulty so they replaced it. When I got it back could not get the system to get past the POST screen. Took it back and it worked fine so got it back now and it can get past the post screen but I keep having it crashing.

I can make it crash when I want by running a burnin test for atleast 3 minutes then whenever I hit the stop button i get the BSOD refering to Memory Management with the message in the event viewer log saying "Error code 0000001a, parameter1 00041284, parameter2 0c1f8001, parameter3 0000a77c, parameter4 c0883000." I have run Memtest and got no problem with the new stick.

I have attached 2 of the minidumps.

Rectifying “INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE” Error in Microsoft Windows 2000

Are you facing BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) error with a STOP error while booting your Windows 2000-based computer? Is your boot device inaccessible? Such situations occur due to damage to the Windows boot sector. After this behavior, your Windows system becomes unbootable and inaccessible. You can not access your hard drive partitions in such situations and come across partition loss situations. In order to retrieve lost Windows partitions in these cases, you need to opt for Partition Recovery solutions to get your valuable data back.

In certain scenarios, you might encounter an error, which is similar to the below one, on blue screen on Microsoft Windows 2000 computer:

“***STOP 0×0000007B (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4) INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE”

This error message render your hard drive partitions inaccessible, resulting partition loss. To gain access of lost Windows hard drive partitions, you need to identify the cause of this problem and perform Windows Partition Recovery by sorting it out.

Cause of the Inaccessible Boot Device Error:

This error may be caused by several problems. It indicates that either the I/O (Input/Output) system initialization failed or file system is not initialized. The I/O system initialization fails when driver for boot device initializes device, which Windows is attempting to boot from. The file system initialization fails because it didn't recognize the data, which is stored on boot device.

The above error message can occur if the below conditions are true:Microsoft Windows 2000 is installed on a SCSI (Small Computer System Interface) or unsupported hard drive. You have installed a new disk controller or a SCSI adapter. The hard drive is repartitioned with the Windows system partition. Resolution:Try out following things to fix this issue:You have recently added a hardware, remove it. Restore your system to Last Known Good Configuration. Use ERD (Emergency Repair Disk) to repair system files, startup environment, and partition boot sector.

If none of the above methods work, you need to format your hard drive and reinstall Windows 2000 operating system. However, it removes all hard drive partitions and need Partition Recovery Software to be sorted out.

The software are capable of throughly scanning entire hard drive and extracting all lost partitions. The Partition Recovery tools are completely safe and easy to use with read-only behavior and rich graphical user interface.

Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery is a well-known tool that ensures absolute recovery in all cases of partition loss. The software recovers FAT16, FAT32, VFAT, NTFS, and NTFS5 file system partitions. It is designed for Microsoft Windows 7, Vista, 2003, XP, and 2000.

Are you encountering STOP errors while upgrading to Windows XP from Microsoft Windows 2000? Is setup process getting terminated halfway and you can not access even the Windows 2000 operating system? This behavior of Microsoft Windows renders your system completely inaccessible, as there is no working operating system on your hard drive. At this point, all of your Windows hard drive partitions become inaccessible and you come across significant partition loss situations. To recover lost partitions in these cases, Partition Recovery is required.

As an example of above mentioned problem, you may come across any of the below error messages, while upgrading your system to Windows XP:

STOP: 0×0000007B (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)
INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE

Or

Setup has encountered a fatal error that prevents it from continuing.

Contact your product support representative for assistance. The following status will assist them in diagnosing the problem.

(0×4, 0×1, 0, 0)

Setup cannot continue. Power down or reboot your computer now.

The error message may also occur during setup process, when your system reboots during installation process. You can try out following things to fix this problem and perform Windows Partition Recovery:

Boot Sector Virus- The above STOP error occurs when your system gets infected by boot-sector virus. If you can boot your system, use an updated anti-virus software to scan the hard drive and remove the viruses, if it finds any.

Device Drive Problems- You may encounter this behavior due to damaged device driver of boot controller, damaged information in Windows registry, and boot controller is not configured. MS Windows XP needs a mini-port driver for communicating with hard drive controller. You need to replace the damaged driver from Windows XP boot CD.

Resource Conflict- The problem may also occur because of resource conflict between another controller/SCSI devices and the boot controller. To resolve this issue, contact hardware vendor.

If an anti-virus application can not remove the boot-sector virus, you need to repartition and format the hard drive and then reinstall Windows XP. This method removes all the existing Windows hard drive partitions and cause critical partition loss situations. At this point, Partition Recovery Software are required to retrieve lost partitions and stored data.

The Partition Recovery tools are incorporated with advanced scanning techniques and thus perform absolute recovery in all cases of partition loss. With read-only behavior and simple graphical user-interface, the applications are completely safe and easy to use.

Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery is the most effective and powerful software to handle all types of partition loss conditions. It recovers FAT16, FAT32, VFAT, NTFS, and NTFS5 file system partitions. The software is compatible with Microsoft Windows 7, Vista, 2003, XP, and 2000.
